Iceland Goodbye before my longest journey yet

Hello everyone,

Well, I am off on my longest adventure yet.  I am moving my whole apt. into a storage facility the week of May 22 and giving up my car that week as well.  I am leaving May 28 till Aug. 20 for Iceland, Greenland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, England, Spain, Morocco, Portugal and France.  Some will be independent on my own and some I will be joining tours.

Casper & Spooky are in foster care with Don.  He has my cats already and will take care of them for me until the end of this year.

When I come home on Aug. 20 I will be leaving again on Sept. 13 to go to a wedding in Dubuque, Iowa and will come home on Sept. 17.  Then I will leave on Sept. 19 to go to Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Papua New Guinea and 4 very remote islands in Indonesia.  Irian Jaya is the one I am most excited about.  I will not return home until December 23.

The few weeks I am in the country I will be staying at Don’s house.  It is ok for me to get all my mail there, so if you have something to send, please do.  You can start using this address right away.

I will miss you all and think of everyone along the way.  I will miss the Van Nuys Airshow for the first time, but how much??  I don’t know.  I will be in Russia that weekend.  I hope to speak with some of you before I go but I am crunched now on packing my apt. and have very little free time.  But if you like, please call and say hi.  I’m sure I’ll be fine, but it is always nice to hear from your friends before a long trip.

I have your names on my email list to send you updates as I am traveling.  If you do not wish to receive these updates I will not be insulted, just email me and I’ll take you off my list.  I will try to find internet cafes in the major cities I am visiting so I can write home.

I think I am a bit nuts and I am a bit apprehensive but I am pretty excited as well.  There are a couple of my close friends that do not have email.  So, Pegisu, if you will, please call Robin for me when you can and say you heard from me.  Karen & Zack, please call Stacey and Gene for me when you hear from me, and Marvin, if you would, please call Mimi.  Thanks guys.

Please feel free to write to me while I am gone and keep me posted about what you are doing and what is going on in your lives.  Write to me here at WrldTrvlrr and not BoogiQueen.  Thanks.

Well, I guess goodbye for now.  I’ll try and catch up with you in Aug. and if I miss you, have a great year and I’ll speak with you in 2001.  Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and a very happy, healthy new year!!!  You are all special to me and I appreciate the friendships we have each shared.
